Sometimes when we are walking on the road we will see someone pushing a broken car or motorbike. And recently in Nepal, a rare scene appeared when a group of passengers and airport staff together pushed a plane stuck on the runway.
According to reports on Nepal News, a small Tara Air plane had a tire blown out while traveling on the runway after landing at Kolti airport in Bajura region on December 1.
This plane with number 9N-AVE couldn’t move until the rear tire burst and got stuck on the runway, causing another plane about to land to fly around in the sky, unable to land. .A group of passengers and airport staff helped push the plane off the runway to clear obstacles for other air traffic.
Yeti Airlines, the parent company of Tara Air, said in a statement that the 9N-AVE plane had “grounded” due to a blown tire. Since there was no equipment on the runway to pull it away, passengers and airport staff came together to assist.A Nepali Twitter user shared an image of around 20 passengers and airport staff pushing the plane at the time, saying: “(This situation) is probably only in our Nepal.”
