“Let’s Get It On” Excellent performance David Dam – Blind Audition The Voice

Whether we’re talking about American Idol or The X Factor, it’s pretty clear why people like these kinds of programs. Each gives us the opportunity to see a range of talented artists we’ve never heard of before, and each gives us the chance to cheer on an underdog. Yet what some people don’t know is that different countries around the world have their own versions of these shows.

The clip we’re talking about today, for example, is from The Voice of Holland.

In one episode, a man named David Dam came out and was ready to perform in front of the judges.

At the start of the music it is clear that what is being played is “Let’s Get It On” by Marvin Gaye. For anyone unfamiliar with the song, it is a passionate love song that is particularly difficult to sing.

Either way, Dam comes out and immediately starts singing the song. Without missing a beat, he immediately begins singing the iconic opening lyrics while the judges have their backs turned.

His voice is so powerful that two of the judges immediately crush their buttons and turn to face him.

Shortly after, one of the judges is out of his chair and dancing on stage with Dam! Soon another of the judges is also on stage. As the song progresses, Dam’s performance only gets better. Soon after, everyone got out of their chairs and dance with Dam on the main stage.
