Video has emerged of a young boy crying to himself as he walks – seemingly alone – at the border of the Polish town of Medyka on Saturday.
He was carrying a backpack and an adorable toy in his transport bag. It is not clear if he is with his family.The film tells the story of an 11-year-old boy who is reunited with his relatives after traveling 600 miles to the Slovak border on his own with a phone number written in his hand.In just 12 days, more than 1.7 million people have left Ukraine, according to the United Nations. Most have gone to neighboring countries – with more than a million in Poland alone.
