Classic American crossover singer Jackie Evancho is perhaps best known for her appearance on America’s Got Talent season five. Jackie was only ten years old when she won second place in the competition. Although she was squashed for not winning first place, the Pittsburgh native wouldn’t let the defeat discourage her.
“When I was on America’s Got Talent as a [little girl], it was like a movie. I still remember the first time I went on stage and thought, ‘This is my chance to shine’.” , “Evancho, now 18, was shared in a pre-tagged package before her performance.
The singer said that when she didn’t win, she assumed she would return to her normal life and it wouldn’t make any difference – but it couldn’t have been more wrong.
“My life completely changed after America’s Got Talent. I performed all over the world… I was able to record a bunch of albums that were truly platinum and gold,” she shared. “I’m the youngest solo singer to go platinum.
The stunning singer has certainly lived up to her reputation, as her impressive performance of “Music of the Night” from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera wowed the judges.
“Everyone has been blown away by the amazing vocals from Singer Jackie Evancho returning to the stage to compete, ever since coming in second on season 5 of AGT.
