Lady Gaga’s Ally Maine breaks through to a wider audience in the singer’s video for “Always Remember Us This Way,” from the soundtrack for A Star Is Born with Bradley Cooper. The video features scenes from the blockbuster movie and follows Gaga’s character Ally as she performs the song live for the first time.
One of the soundtrack’s many highlights, “Always Remember Us This Way” was written on the spot and recorded immediately.
“The moment it was written, we cut it in the studio, and I just remember the writers were singing background and Stefani was singing live, just belting it,” the song’s producer Dave Cobb recalled. “It was pure magic when that went down and you can hear it in the film—the energy and the excitement that was happening.”
