“Voice” Trio Worth The Wait Wins Knockout By Singing “Delta Dawn”

Ben Allen performs Luke Combs’ “She Got the Best of Me” against Worth the Wait singing Tanya Tucker’s “Delta Dawn” during The Knockouts on The Voice.

On Tuesday night’s episode of “The Voice,” the Worth the Wait trio honored their family connection with a heartfelt old country song.

Mia, 15, Jaycee, 13, and Mama T, 47, perform Tanya Tucker’s 1972 hit “Delta Dawn”. In the video clip before their performance, the women explain that their family has always performed together, specifically this song.

“One of the reasons we chose this song is because when we grow up, my dad plays the guitar and my sisters and I, we’ll all sit around and sing ‘Delta Dawn,’” said Mama T, who also sung by Tara, explaining “It’s my dad’s favorite food.”
