Britain’s Got Talent judges were amazed by a 77-year-old contestant from Birmingham and his soulful dance moves. Mel Day was on the talent show Saturday night (April 23) and couldn’t resist flirting with judge Alesha Dixon.
Mel revealed he’s been singing since he was a young boy, but was “dropped” many times in auditions before Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha. He told the judges, “My dream is to win this show. That’s what I’m here for.”
And he received a standing ovation from all for judges after his incredible performance. Simon was the first to comment, saying “God, we need you” after a bad round of auditions. Amanda then complimented Mel, adding: “You just wrapped your presents. You’re so sparkly.”
Mel Day will get you up on your feet, dancing and singing along to his fabulous performance of Wilson Pickett’s ‘Land of 1000 Dances’!
