The 10-year-old Filipino-American boy from Atlanta, Georgia sang David Guetta’s challenging song “Without You” with Usher. She was the last performer on America’s Got Talent (AGT) 2017 Semifinal 2, held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California on September 12.
Proving to everyone that she deserves a Golden Buzzer for her performance of “Girl on Fire” on July 18, Angelica showed what a great singer she is at such a young age.She lowered the house with her high notes, falsetto, and breathtaking runs. Her semi-final performance was so incredible that everyone stood up, the judges and all, after she sang the last note.
Mel B said that Angelica had the voice of an “absolute angel” and said the song choice was brave. The demo wasn’t perfect but nevertheless, Angelica owned it.Heidi Klum confessed that the young singer is a phenomenon and her personal favorite.Simon Cowell said the kidney transplant survivor was a wonderful girl who took a risk with her song and described that a note sung by Angelica “smacked me in the face”. Simon thinks Angelica deserves to be in the final.
