Peaky Blinders season 6: release date in the UK, episodes, cast, plot and everything you need to know

Peaky Blinders season 6 is officially on its way, but you better make the most of it, as this will be the show’s final outing… on TV at least.

Season five had everything – extreme highs (welcome back Alfie Solomons), gut-punching lows (RIP Aberama Gold), a hell of a lot of bloodshed, and just about everything in between.

But enough of the old. What’s done is done, and it’s now time to look ahead to what Steven Knight has in store for us next.

Peaky Blinders returns for its sixth and final season in early 2022, but BBC’s award-winning crime drama is going out with a bang . . . literally! On New Year’s Day, a 90-second trailer arrived courtesy of the TV series’s official Twitter account, and it’s filled with gunshots, brawls, fire, and a chilling voiceover of Thomas “Tommy” Shelby (Cillian Murphy), aka the leader of the Peaky Blinders. “This will be the end of it,” he says in the trailer. As if that wasn’t cryptic enough, the clip’s caption reads: “One last deal to be done.”

While the trailer doesn’t address Aunt Polly’s fate — Helen McCrory, who played the Peaky matriarch, died in April 2021 — fans of the show will be happy to see that Oswald Mosley (Sam Clafin), Arthur Shelby (Paul Anderson), Ada Shelby (Sophie Rundle), and Gina Gray (Anya Taylor-Joy) are part of the returning cast. Following the final season, a spin-off film is headed to the big screen and will begin production in 2023. Watch the trailer above.
