The first episode of The Voice of Kids was again full of young talents tonight. The 13-year-old Montana, an old acquaintance of the talent show, made a new attempt after her participation in 2015. And with success. The four judges unanimously turned around when they heard her golden throat.
Three years ago, Montana from Ouderkerk aan den IJssel was also on the dreaded stage. However, she was unable to convince the judges of her singing skills. “Now I want to prove it was wrong,” said the combative teenager.
During tonight’s audition, Montana sang the song Fallin’ by superstar Alicia Keys. When the girl played the first notes, the coaches immediately turned around. They even rose from their chairs to enthusiastically dance along during the Montana performance. A standing ovation was therefore obvious after her audition.
After the performance, Montana was showered with compliments from the judges. “What a hell of a voice! You’re just R&B to the bone. You completely understand what you are doing,” was the praising comment of new-fangled coach Douwe Bob.
