At last night’s ACM Awards, Miranda, Jack and Jon delivered a breathtaking acoustic version of their song “In His Arms” from their upcoming album, The Marfa Tapes.
It was one of the most stripped down and raw performances of the evening… and also one of the best. I love that they got on national television with little to no production or flash and that they just sang a real blue country song
The country of Texas in Nashville… you have to love it.
It’s also cool to see Jack and Jon, who aren’t really a part of the Nashville scene other than their connections to Miranda as co-writers, and some production work here and there, put on a national stage and have the opportunity to bring attention to the greatness of the country of Texas.
Miranda performed two more times on the series, kicking off with Elle King on “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” and joining Chris Stapleton for a last minute performance of “Maggie’s Song”.
