As it all started, a piano accompaniment helped him through — and the crowd immediately started clapping when they heard Gemario sing “Someone Like You”.
The judges couldn’t see who was singing, but their faces were filled with excitement. They looked at each other and commented on the incredible vocal control and vibrato that this contestant had.
Even though he nailed the first verse, the song really took off when he got to the first chorus!
We’re shocked that people don’t dispute Gemario’s talent, but we’re glad someone recognized him!
While there will always be all kinds of undiscovered talent in the world, shows like these are valuable for bringing it to a wider audience. There’s something exciting about watching someone find their voice to express themselves to the fullest — especially when they’re as young and talented as Gemario is, obviously.
