Singer Bay Turner Overcomes Vocal-Cord Paralysis To Wow Judges With Powerful Performance‘AGT’:

Bay Turner walked onto the AGT stage to present his soaring voice and tell his compelling story about him defying all odds. The 25-year-old legal assistant from Texas told the judges that he had undergone surgery.

The poor man had a pair of benign tumors in his chest, which needed to be removed through a complex surgery. But unfortunately, it paralyzed his vocal cords. He added, “I’ve spent countless hours using voice teachers to get my voice back to the way it was.”Turner told the judges it would be his first performance since the surgery. He seemed quite nervous when he started performing on stage, but he told the judges that when there are a lot of difficulties in life, you just have to do what you can.

The talented singer kicked off his performance with Calum Scott’s beautiful song, “Biblical.” His powerful voice fits perfectly with the music. He can sing high notes with great ease, impressing the judges and the audience. The crowd was so excited for him that they cheered wildly for Turner.

When it came time to evaluate the performance, Simon Cowell told Turner, “I think people will like you, Bay.” Howie Mandel added that people there heard him sing and felt his voice. He joked, “I know you’d love to be a paralegal, but I’d pursue singing if I were you.”

Heidi Klum said he was “more special”, and Sofia Vergara added that she thought Turner was nervous and would, therefore, mess up the performance. However, she knew he was special as soon as he stepped on stage and started singing.
