Drake Milligan charmed the judges with a lively original song. The singer from Fort Worth, Texas sings an original song called “Sounds Like Something I’d Do.”
The 23-year-old and his band took to the stage on the second audition episode of Season 17, performing Milligan’s original single “Sounds Like Something I’d Do.” His first track received instant cheers from the audience, and the judges – who each voted “Yes” – found that the track was already like a Top 40 hit.
“For me, a good song is a good song, and you are lovely,” said Simon Cowell.“I also like you guys as a band,” said Heidi Klum. “We don’t have a lot of bands yet, so I think you guys are perfect for America’s Got Talent.”
In the show, Ft. Worth, a TX native, notes that a certain rock-and-roll legend inspired him to become a singer. “When I was about seven years old, I was eating with my family and there was an Elvis impersonator at the restaurant, and I was hooked. I think that’s when I decided that I wanted to be like Elvis,” Milligan said. .
