The first contestant of this edition from Bergamo stepped onto the stage. Charles “Charli” Kablan, 22 years old, originally from Ivory Coast, has lived in Bergamo for three and a half years and sings in the “Henry’s friends” gospel choir in the Seriate. On TV, he sings “Hello” by Adele.
“Charles, known as Charli, has been singing with us for a year,” said Adele Breno, director of Henry’s Friends Choir. An acquaintance of his put us in contact with him, as soon as I heard him sing I thought he was amazing and I wanted him in the choir at all costs.
He never learned to sing, he’s just a natural talent. He is very humble and I wish him well, even if we will be sorry to lose such an important voice to our choir.” Charles lives with an aunt, works in a small cleaning company and attends an industrial electronics school in the evenings. The entire choir supported him during the audition stage and are now cheering for him.
