Britain’s Got Talent audiences were bent over in stitches after a comedian took the stage on Friday night’s semi-final.
Daliso Chaponda delivered a much-needed comedic respite with his light-hearted yet totally topical stand up – and he had the audience eating out of the palm of his hand.
From the very start, the man stole the hearts of the audience and the judges. Furthermore, he landed a golden buzzer from Amanda. Daliso claimed his life has completely turned after the audition.
Talking about the myth of the ‘Good Old Days’, Daliso drops some funny truths on the audience as he stands on stage, saying: “We’ve got it so good… Women can vote now. I’m black; 200 years ago this would’ve been an auction.”
His tongue-in-cheek repertoire made sure no one was safe. His diatribe against Madonna and Angelina Jolie – who have both adopted children from Daliso’s home country – was a hit with viewers.
