A nine-year-old opera singer named Victory Brinker made history last on America’s Got Talent.

After wowing the judges with his performance of “Juliet’s Waltz,” they called up a group with host Terry Crews and the five of them decided to push the Golden Buzzer, sending him straight into the live shows. Before Victory took the stage, a bird was flying around the theater, finding a place to watch.

“It’s a sign of luck,” remarked Simon Cowell. After her performance, the bird joined her on stage, “she came to visit you, Victoire … She came to sit there for you,” exclaimed Sofia Vergara. Victory was adopted by her parents and according to Height Zone her parents are Christine Brinker, naturopathic doctor, and Eric Brinker, pastor of Impact Life Church in Acme. They have eleven children, nine of whom are adopted. Victory is one of five daughters, with six brothers. She has been singing since the age of 2 and also appeared in Little Big Shots on NBC when she was only 8 years old.
