Like any other audition, it began with a man walking out on stage to introduce himself to the judges. As he explains, his name is Darcy Oake and he’s 26 years old.
Although many of the performers on the Got Talent shows are singers or dancers, Oake explains that he has a different act. “When I was a kid, I had hopes and dreams of becoming a doctor,” he says. “But my parents insisted that I become a magician.”
Obviously he was joking, but what a great opening line!
Still, as Oake explains, he’s been interested in magic since he was a little kid and made it his life’s passion. Without much further ado, the judges clear the way for Oake to perform.
As the performance goes on, things only get more complicated.
Before the audience can wrap their head around the first bird, he seems to tear it in half… and now there are two birds. At this point, the audience loses their mind.
Perhaps most incredible of all is that he splits the cage in half… and then there are two birds in cages!
For the grand finale, he turns the whole bird cage into a woman in a dress. Needless to say, the judges and the crowd give him a huge round of applause when it’s all over!
