Watch ‘Voice’ Star Will Stir Your Memories With “Grandpa, Tell Me’ Bout The Good Old Days”

Who could forget The Judds, the classic country duo of Naomi Judd and her daughter, Wynonna Judd, one of the best country duos of their time. Recently, 16-year-old Chevel Shepherd wowed viewers with his role as “Grandpa Tells Me About the Good Old Times” in the hit TV series.

She picked up the mic and walked elegantly toward the audience, wearing an elegant dress, with her long hair perfectly held as she gave the performance of her life. The pressure of performing in front of such a large audience did not move this young and talented singer.

This song in particular is a perfect choice for Chevel because the lyrics are about a girl who asks her grandfather to tell him how things were when he was little. Considering that she is only 16 years old, you feel the song is related to her.

Chevel made a shocking decision to cast Kelly Clarkson over Blake Shelton. The pick was a “dream come true” for Clarkson as he waited for the right country artist to join his team.

“It’s no secret that I wanted a country singer,” Kelly said after Chevel’s blind audition. “And, you also float on that line in the pop world. With pauses in your voice… Yes, they are very Dolly Parton, but they are also very Sarah Mclachlan.

This decision paid off for Shepherd, who dominated week after week to finally become the winner of the season. She sang songs by George Strait, Dolly Parton and The Dixie Chicks to name a few, all of which were met with enthusiastic acclaim – a true testament to the young singer’s talent and training. by Kelly Clarkson.
